Dr. Ajay Kumar

Dr. Ajay Kumar is a very competent gastroenterologist and a precise consultant. He was friendly during the consultation, like a comrade. The clinic was excellent in hygiene.

Dr. Ajay Kumar has already ticked all professionalism boxes being the pan India Chairman of Max hospitals in the field of Gastroenterology and Hepatic/Biliary sciences. So my tribute is like holding a lamp to the Sun yet here it is. I have been suffering a lot with several GI symptoms requiring visits to the ER and OPDs of reputed doctors. Variously diagnosed with EPI, IBS etc., I was asked to undergo Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy which I was hesitant to undergo. On recommendation of a hugely respected cardiologist, I visited Dr. Ajay Kumar twice in last three months who saw no need for any ''scopy'' and instead his treatment has alleviated 70 pct. of my symptoms already. I am elated and salute the good doctor for his listening; history taking; empathy; amazing diagnostic skills and most of all a kind attitude. The world needs more professionals like him.

I had high expectations from Dr. Ajay Kumar given his reputation in gastroenterology, but my recent experience was quite disappointing. Despite the complexity of my father's condition, *** ****** ******** ************ *********** with hardly any patience to listen to our concerns or review the full medical history.What was most troubling was the lack of engagement during the consultation—no real conversation, rushed decisions, and almost no space for questions. For a senior specialist, empathy and communication are just as critical as expertise, especially when dealing with elderly patients and chronic conditions.
